Kula Values

As an organization, we have established a set of values that consistently serve as a representation of our priorities and as a guideline for how we want to operate. We revisit them often, apply them to our daily work, and strive to uphold them always.

We believe in equality in partnership.

We treat everyone we work with with respect and appreciation. We learn from them as they learn from us, and we look for win-wins in all situations.

When we meet challenges, we work together to find solutions.

We are team players, and are always looking to bring answers and options to our teammates.

We work towards individual health.

We know that we can only be as good at our jobs as we are in ourselves. We prioritize balance, personal health and well being and take care of our relationships and personal lives as well as our jobs.

We do what we say we are going to do.

We keep our word, and don’t promise beyond what we’re capable.

We do, evaluate, tweak, and then do again.

We never let our ego keep us from ending what we cannot do well.

We are there for our people.

We are loyal, committed and caring for our team and beneficiaries.

We love Rwanda.

We take pride in this country and its people and work to see its growth.

We aren’t afraid of doing work that has no end.

This work is hard and sometimes requires long and tiring hours, great amounts of mental, physical and emotional energy, and asks a lot of each of us. It’s worth it.
