All of our fellows are coffee farmers. Before anything else, we want to first ensure that their coffee farms are the best they can possibly be by working together to provide coffee seedlings, farm tools, and livestock for quality manure.

We want to work toward closing the leadership gap left in our communities by the 1994 Genocide. Through a series of classes, workshops, and speakers, our fellows will learn skills and practices from some of the greatest leaders in Rwanda.

With our incredible partners, we have built a training program that can increase farm yields by up to 60%. Our farm trainers will teach on Kula's model farm and conduct weekly farm visits with each of our fellows.

Most of our programs focus on helping our participants earn higher incomes. Financial training will equip them with the knowledge they need to wisely manage, save, and invest their finances.

We believe that the healthiest businesses are run by the healthiest individuals. By working with medical officials and partner organizations, our fellows will receive education in family nutrition and maternal & mental health.

Succeeding must start with the belief that you can. So we are investing in a team of certified counselors and social workers to provide one-on-one mentorship to each of our participants.

At the end of our scholarship program, our participants will learn how to develop a business plan and loan proposal in order to launch a new business or expand their current one.

We are building an impact measurement team to make sure that we are investing in work that produces the most enduring impact. By gathering data and creating strong relationships with our participants, we will be able to measure the success of our programs.
